Açaí Bowl | Three Recipes


Açai bowls are becoming so popular in recent years and for good reason. The acai berry which is grown is central and south America is full of so many amazing health benefits which you can find out all about in my last post. The acai berry is a sweet berry and so yummy to make a smoothie bowl with. In the UK you can purchase acai from many places in the form of frozen packages or powders. To make my bowls I had frozen acai packages. 

Recipe 1
- 1 pack of acai
- 1 frozen banana 
- 1/4 cup frozen blueberries
- 1/4 cup frozen mango 
- 1/4 cup frozen strawberries 
- 1/2 cup plant milk 
Toppings of your choice 

This has to be my favourite recipe of the three as its just so simple and so tropical tasting! 
To top your acai bowl you can really add whatever you want! I try to stick to a similar theme to what I put into the recipe and granola is also a great extra for some crunch. 
Recipe 2
- 1 pack of acai
- 1.5 frozen bananas 
- 1/2 cup frozen cherries 
- 1/2 cup frozen blueberries  
- 1/2 cup plant milk 
- 1/2 scoop of vanilla protein powder (Optional but great)
Toppings of your choice 

You can see I kept the toppings pretty simple on this one and the added almond butter was amazing!
Recipe 3
- 1 pack of acai
- 1 frozen banana 
- 1/4 cup frozen raspberries 
- 1/4 cup frozen blueberries 
- 1/2 cup plant milk 
Toppings of your choice 

This one really was very simple and a very berry recipe!
