Must See Dubai Attractions

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
We spent an amazing 10 days in Dubai and for sure there is not a shortage of different things to see and do. With that said there is so much, that it is hard to choose how to spend your time and get the most out of your trip. We have put together this post with some of the different things we were lucky enough to experience and ones that we recommend to you on your visit.

Dubai is a city within the United Arab Emirates which is very popular with the British. After all it does have some amazing architecture, beaches, food and great weather all year round!

The Burj Khalifa

This building is known as the tallest building in the world and definitely the first thing we knew we needed to visit on our trip. We booked our tickets before we arrived due to how busy it can get.

You are able to purchase tickets for two different floor levels within the Burj Khalifa. The lower floor you can visit is floor 124 and the higher floor is 148. Of course being 24 floors higher you may want to go as high as possible. However we did not on our visit due to the heat during July and both floors having open terraces. The view from floor 124 is still unlike anything you can imagine. Having been to the top of Empire state building and the Rockafellor building we had seen amazing views before, however this was higher than we ever imagined!

The price of the two different tickets for the Burj Khalifa varies quite a lot, therefore if you are not great with heights or it is a really hot season consider whether you really want to go right to the top before purchasing.

You can book your tickets on their website: HERE

As well as going to the top of the Burj Khalifa you can walk outside from the Dubai mall and get some pretty special photos with it in the background.

At the base of the Burj Khalifa is the fountain which you can stand and watch either next to the Burj Khalifa or if you are lucky enough you might even be able to catch the show from the top. There are two shows per day and then they are every half an hour in the evening. We would definitely recommend having a look what time they are on!

Getting to the top of the tallest building in the world in 60 seconds is pretty impressive! (our ears did pop twice)

Once you are at the top you can stay as long as you like to appreciate the view and take as many photos as you want. Also at the top is a little gift shop to get a souvenir of your visit. The viewing deck is also outside so it can feel quiet hot at times but worth it for the best views of this amazing city!

The Lost Chambers Aquarium

The lost chambers aquarium is at Atlantis the palm hotel. To get to this hotel it is quiet a way from the city centre so you need to allow yourself plenty of time for your visit. (Unless your already staying here)

Home to over 65,000 marine animals of all varieties. This aquarium is like no other as there are different aquariums every way you turn. The layout is a little bit like a maze and there were times when we found ourselves back at the same spot from taking a wrong turn.
As well as the aquarium there are also a variety of other packages where you can even get in the tank yourself and even swim with sharks.

Dubai Malls

For sure there is no shortage of shopping when visit Dubai and it seems like every metro stop is a different mall. We visited a few different ones and every time we were blown away by how amazing they were!

The Dubai mall had to be our favourite because of how pretty it was. The most photogenic part of the mall has to be the human sculpture waterfall which is spread out over 4 floors.
Also in the mall there are 1500 shops! With that many you are able to find anything you want as they sell everything. Below you can see the more upmarket part of the mall which must have been our favourite bit.

Dubai Ice Rink

Inside the Dubai mall you will find an ice rink! Perfect to entertain the kids and get away from the heat outside.

Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo

Yes, this is another aquarium . . . but you can never visit enough. Everyone has different species of tropical fish and reptiles. What makes this one even better is the fact its in the middle of a shopping mall.

Have you ever been to Dubai? What attractions did you visit?

Love Megan x
